Murfreesboro - Bringing in Business - New Manufacturing Plant
Murfreesboro, TN - Nashville Business Journal reported today that NHK Seating of America, whose headquarters are in Frankfort, Indiana, will spend nearly $54 million building a new manufacturing plant near I-24 and Joe B Jackson Parkway.
NHK has been in automotive parts production in the U.S. since 1987, and the Murfreesboro site will initially make automotive seat frames. NHK is a supplier to Cool Springs-based Nissan, which has a production facility in Smyrna.
The plant is expected to reach full production in 2015 and employ 224 workers. Construction is expected to begin in October
