Timberlake Plantation is located just 8.5 miles south of Chapin, SC. Chapin is located at Exit 91 on I-26, a main artery between Greenville-Spartanburg, Columbia and Charleston. The Chapin exit is 25 minutes from downtown Columbia, the state's capital. Chapin is located within a 1.5 hour drive of Charlotte, Augusta and Greenville-Spartanburg. It is only a 2 hour drive to the Charleston Beaches and the Asheville mountains, and 2.5 hours to Myrtle Beach.
Timberlake Plantation was founded in March 1987 and consists of 321 home sites. This beautiful subdivision is comprised of 4 neighborhoods along the shore of beautiful Lake Murray; Club Pointe, Fairway Oaks, Fairway Ridge and Plantation Summit. The homes in these neighborhoods range from 2000 to 6000 square feet and have an average of four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Lake Murray is often referred to as the; "Crown Jewel" of South Carolina. It is a man made 47,500 acre reservoir with approximately 540 miles of shoreline. In addition to being on Lake Murray, this neighborhood also has the wonderful Timberlake Golf Course meandering throughout our neighborhood and along Lake Murray.
