The 2nd annual series benefiting Harvest Hope Food Bank and A Home In Haiti is wrapping up its season! Enjoy a free movie, free drinks, free popcorn, and free Sno Cones. The Chick-fil-a cows will be around as well as a bounce house and a chance to win great giveaways to area restaurants and attractions. There are 3 great wine tastings going on this Friday. The knowledgeable staff of Sam's Fine Wine will be on site to answer all of your questions and help you expand your appreciation of wines. Friday, August 20. 16th Annual Gala "Summertime...and the art is good lookin'".
The McKissick Museum's annual gala is held in conjunction with "Summertime," a McKissick exhibit and art sale that will close with the gala. The gala will feature music, food, drinks, and more than 60 artists who are native South Carolinians or have strong ties to the state and provides an opportunity for the public to meet local artists. Works by all artists will be available for purchase during the gala, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the museum. 7:30-10 pm. Visit McKissick Museum for more information.
 
Friday, August 20 & Tuesday, August 24. Free Game Night!
Don't you wish you could test things out before you buy them? Well you can! Head to Toys & Games, Etc for their weekly drop-in beginning at 6 pm. They have over 250 open games that you can test out...and you don't even have to read the directions because the helpful staff will teach you! Saturday, August 21. Summer Concert Series!
The Irmo Town Park Summer Concert Series wraps up this Saturday with the 282nd Army Band. Concerts begin at 6 pm. Visit the Town of Irmo for more information.
 
Saturday, August 21. 3rd Annual Greater Columbia Record Fair.
Record enthusiasts from across the East Coast show and sell equipment and a variety of records including LPs, 45's, and CDs. Records of all types, including common and ultra rare, are represented. A cash bar will be available. 10am-4pm. Visit the Columbia Museum of Art for more information.
 
Thursday, August 26. 3rd Annual Art with A Heart Show.
Wind down with tremendous artwork as well as dessert complimentary of The Melting Pot, refreshments and live entertainment. 701 Whaley will host this annual benefit art show which features the work of 20 well-known local artists. A portion of all proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Columbia’s cornerstone programs-the Ronald McDonald House and the Ronald McDonald Family Room. Featured in the boxing sector are undefeated Middleweight Sensation Chris “The Irish Ghost” Fitzpatrick, Female Knock Out Artist Angel “Non Stop” Gladney, and World Title Challenger, Emmanual “The Butcher” Lucero. The Mixed Martial Arts will feature undefeated Kelley Anundson, the sensational Josh Eagans, Columbia’s Own Vince Salvador, Tre Moss, Danny Conway, and Ryan Larussa. 7:00pm.
