There are some important changes to FHA Financing that will go into effect on April 18th, most notably an increase of .25% in the Annual Mortgage Insurance Premium (MIP). For down payments of less than 5% the Annual Factor will go from .9% to 1.15%.  For down payments of 5% or more the Annual Factor will be 1.1%.  THere will be no change in the Upfront Mortgage Imsurance Premium of 1%.

THe FHA estimates that this will increase the average borrower's monthly payments by $30 and affect their purchasing power by approximately $5-6,000.
