The music festival showcases original compositions written by musicians in which Transylvania County has severed as their home at some point. This year’s music and street festival promises to be bigger, better and nuttier than ever! Experience two days of free concerts downtown on Main Street, with headliners like Acoustic Syndicate, Jill Andrews, Town Mountain, and a special surprise performing guest… nearly 20 acts in all! And don’t miss the famous Squirrel Box Derby, this gravity race is the only legal opportunity in Brevard, North Carolina where you can try to break the speed limit down Jailhouse Hill! All vehicles are hand built and decorated to please the crowd, as well as designed for speed. Contestants compete for trophies for the fastest critter, the squirreliest theme, and the nuttiest design. In addition, businesses fight to win the overall Golden Nut Trophy, which combined speed and design. Make this Memorial Day Weekend the most extraordinary with your friends at Exit Mountain Realty!
