Williamson County Historic Homes in Brentwood and Franklin TN

Everyone knows that Franklin is a historic city, with the Carnton plantation and the Carter House and the story of the bloody Battle of Franklin. But for someone wanting to own a piece of history in Williamson county did you realize that there are actively for sale 25 homes older than 1900 for sale in Williamson county(Early August 2011) priced over $500,000. Prices range from the upper end at $6.5 Million and sizes from 1000 square feet to almost 11,000 square feet. Many including the property at Homestead Manor can be used as commercial properties while still preserving and maintaining the historic value.

One thing seems to hold true that in Williamson county, there is a market for renovated and updated historic homes. Many of the homes have their own unique style from Victorian to Log cabins and everything in between, but for sure each one has it's own story to tell. These homes are also selling and already in this under 1900 mark there have been 3 SOLD properties over the $500K mark in 2011 with a total value of $2,011,002 averaging them out to $670K per transaction. Two (2) homes in the county older than 1900 did sell for under $500K as well.

These properties are exotic and so are thier future owners likely to be so they have pleaurable upgrades like in-ground pools, guest houses or remote music studios suites, and even an indoor basketball court. But for sure there has been no spared expense to make these homes liveable and sure to thrive for many generations to come so that future Williamson County residents can take a look back in time to see what homes were like in the pre-1900 Time period in Williamson County.
